Statement: Canadian Centre for Child Protection selected as End Violence Against Children #SafeOnline grantee
The Canadian Centre for Child Protection (C3P) is proud to have been selected as one of 14 new grantees by End Violence Against Children, as part of the Safe Online community and their global fight against online child sexual exploitation and abuse.
Project Arachnid is a global solution to reduce the availability of online child sexual abuse material. With this new funding, C3P will enhance the efficacy of Project Arachnid by developing a multi-lingual global notification system, and tailored tools in order to expedite the process of removing child sexual abuse material on sites that make automated detection difficult. More information on this project is available here: https://www.end-violence.org/grants/canadian-centre-child-protection-global.
Child sexual abuse material is a global epidemic and solutions must address its borderless nature. Survivors need us all prioritizing the expeditious removal of child sexual abuse images and videos. This funding from End Violence will help strengthen our global fight against this horrific crime.
