The Canadian Centre for Child Protection (Canadian Centre) is a national charity dedicated to the personal safety and protection of children. Our goal is to reduce the sexual abuse and exploitation of children, to assist in the location of missing children, and to prevent child victimization.
The Canadian Centre operates Cybertip.ca — Canada’s tipline for reporting child sexual abuse and exploitation on the internet — as well as other prevention and intervention programs and initiatives.
About This Position
The Canadian Centre is seeking a dedicated, motivated and compassionate person to join our team as a Child Safety and Family Advocacy Division Caseworker.
The Child Safety and Family Advocacy Division Caseworker will provide crisis assessment, intervention and appropriate service referral to assist:
- in the location of missing and exploited children
- supporting families searching for missing children
- families impacted by child victimization
- youth in crisis
In addition to casework, other responsibilities include building relationships with collaterals, assisting with resource development and participating in projects relating to child safety and family advocacy.
- A post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant field
- Experience working in the social services field is considered an asset
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- French / English bilingualism is considered an asset
